Thank You to Saltash Town Council for Supporting Our Community Kitchen

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Saltash Town Council for their generous donation of £925, which has made a significant and lasting difference to our community kitchen.

This funding has enabled us to purchase a range of essential equipment, including a commercial cooker, dishwasher, soup warmer, and a wide selection of kitchen utensils. These improvements have transformed how the kitchen operates, allowing us to prepare food more efficiently, safely, and to a higher standard for everyone who uses the space.

The upgraded facilities directly support our community activities, including our donation-based café sessions and food-sharing initiatives. Having reliable, modern equipment means we can better handle surplus food, reduce waste, and provide warm, freshly prepared meals in a welcoming environment. It also helps ensure that volunteers can work safely and comfortably while supporting local residents.

This investment is about far more than equipment. It strengthens the long-term sustainability of the kitchen as a shared community resource and helps us continue offering accessible, low-cost support to people of all ages and backgrounds in Saltash. Small, practical improvements like these play an important role in preventing food insecurity and social isolation, while bringing people together around a shared table.

We are proud to acknowledge this support with a permanent sign in the kitchen recognising that the facilities have been provided with the help of Saltash Town Council.
