Sensory Garden Project
Thanks to Kernock Plants and Friends of Tincombe, Oaklands Community Centre have a sensory front garden. Full of shrubs that not only attract buzzies but also give off a powerful perfume across the space.
While Saltash celebrated May Fair (4th May 24) a few enthusiastic volunteers came along on an amazingly sunny day (hottest of the year so far) to install this new community asset.

Shrubs included, Fuchsia, Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Lemon and many more. Please pop along and have a smell 🙂
We plan on continuing this project throughout the garden and have so much more to do such as risen beds, wildlife havens and vegetable plots.
Please get involved in this creative new community space. The gardening group meet every Thursday morning at the centre between 10am & 12. There are always lots to do as the garden is in it’s very early stages. Please join us.
